As part of a major system upgrade, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the suspension of its services on August 22, 2025, across Pakistan.

While the announcement was made to keep users in the loop and ensure that user inconvenience could be avoided, the impending NADRA system upgradation is believed to enhance the quality and efficiency of its services provided nationwide.

Having reviewed NADRA's official statement, ARY News categorically outlined that certain services will be temporarily unavailable on Friday, August 22, from 11pm to 12am.

With the one-hour suspension in place, citizens will likely experience disruptions in accessing NADRA services, the national database authority expressed its sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Being the authority responsible for issuing vital identification documents, including computerised national identity cards, birth certificates, death certificates, B forms, and family registration certificates, this upgrade is crucial for NADRA for improving overall services.

NADRA also assured citizens countrywide that the upgrade will ultimately lead to a more efficient and reliable service experience, while appreciating the public's understanding and patience during this important transition.
